This is the same sausage seasoning we use here at home when we’re making our country sausage. It’s a simple, old-time blend meant to let the flavor of the meat shine through.
One pound of seasoning will season up to 40 pounds of ground pork, making it easy to mix a little at a time or put up a larger batch all at once.
For small batch mix 2 1/2 tsp per pound or 1/4 cup per 5lbs of meat.
This seasoning is sold by weight and does not contain meat.
As with any home food preparation, follow safe handling and storage practices.
Ingredients: SALT, SPICES INCLUDING SAGE AND COLORING, SUGAR, SPICE EXTRACTIVES, CIRTRIC ACID, BHA, BHT ANTIOXIDANTS (TO PROTECT FLAVOR)
Instructions: Combine 1 packet of seasoning with 40lbs of pork and mix thoroughly.

I was raising Kunekune Pigs but life had other plans so I sold my breeding pair and processed the 2 barriws I had left. I bought the seasoning to use with the ground porkand I have really enjoyed it. I season the pork, make them into patties, cook them just until 160 degrees. I freeze them individually, then later take out what I need and heat them up. So delicious and convenient for a quick breakfast.
